Ian Mellencamp

Creates awareness, raises money, and educates the public about various Charities.

Ian Mellencamp, the nephew of rock legend John Cougar Mellencamp, is about to burst onto the scene with his as-of-yet untitled debut album. Setting himself apart from most of the other up and coming artists, indie-rock rookie Ian Mellencamp has released the first video in a three-part series in anticipation of his debut album. “Dry Land” is the first single from Mellencamp’s Rocket Tone Records debut, scheduled for release in Spring 2014. The single is available for free at http://ianmellencamp.bandcamp.com/. The song was written, recorded, and produced by Mellencamp, mixed by Matt Parmenter, and mastered by Kevin Blackler in New York City. With its indie-rock overtones and smooth vocal melodies, “Dry Land” is gaining popularity. Mellencamp is also part of the rock band Isadora and has played bass at shows with several locals in New York City, such as What Moon Things, Laser Background, Lovers, Tami Hart, and Airwaves.
