The Nashville-based non-profit organization, Women Rock For The Cure (WRFTC) has partnered with Black 13 Tattoo Parlor to host its second annual LIVE event on Saturday, October 25th from 12PM to 9PM CST, which will support young women facing breast cancer.

The Eli Young Band is rewarding Camp Schwab Military Base with a free concert for winning the “Battle of the Bases” contest.


The winning base had to eat more Pizza Hut wings than the other 29 participating bases in order to win the Eli Young Band concert provided by a partnership between the band, Pizza Hut and the Army Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES).


The winner, Camp Schwab Military Base, is in Okinawa, Japan. The band will be flying in for their concert on the base Nov. 1. Neighboring Okinawa bases are also being extended an invitation to attend the concert.

Reba McEntire will be headlining Dawn Sears & Friends, a benefit concert to fund lung cancer research.


The benefit is organized by singer and lung cancer patient Dawn Sears. Sears was diagnosed with lung cancer in February 2013 and has since been active in helping raise funds for research.


In addition to McEntire, other performers will include The Time Jumpers and Riders In The Sky. The Time Jumpers includes, among others, Vince Gill and Sears herself. The event will be emceed by Olympic figure skater and cancre survivor Scott Hamilton.

The Simply For Sight event on Sunday, October 19th, at Lindenau Hall in Cuero, Texas,  benefitting the Candyce Lane Henwood Gene Therapy Research Fund has far surpassed its goal! 


Organizers of the event hoped to raise $100,000.00 for the Fund.  They are pleased to announce that  $280,000 was raised.

RaeLynn attended the 51st Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony Oct. 20 to honor President John F. Kennedy and the men and women of the Special Forces at Arlington National Cemetery.
