Weekly Charity Update

This week in Charity News:

GAC's Suzanne Alexander will host an in-the-round performance to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at Nashville's The Listening Room Oct. 14. Gary Allan, Chris Stapleton and Brett James are among those participating.

Grand Ole Opry members Rascal Flatts will flip the switch on the Opry's signature barn backdrop Oct. 28, turning it pink for the night as artists including Mongtomery Gentry and Sara Evans perform in support of breast cancer awareness. Five dollars from every ticket sold for that night goes to Women Rock For The Cure.

Paws For Effect: Miranda Lambert will donate proceeds from her Oct. 4 performance at the Las Vegas Route 91 Harvest Festival to her 7th Annual Cause for the Paws event, which benefits Lambert's MuttNation Foundation. "I am so excited to be playing Vegas to raise money for a cause so dear to my heart," said Lambert. "With your donations we are able to watch happy, healthy dogs being given a second chance at life through adoption." This year's Cause for the Paws includes an already sold-out VIP cocktail party with Lambert Friday (10/3) complete with a live and silent auction with items from Lambert, Blake Shelton, Live Nation and MGM Resorts.
