RODNEY ATKINS TO HOST FIFTH ANNUAL “MUSIC CITY GIVES BACK” CONCERT TUESDAY, JUNE 9


Country music hit maker to be joined by all-star lineup including Maddie and Tae, Tyler Farr, Kip Moore and Lee Brice for concert benefiting W.O. Smith Music School in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 4, 2015) – Country music fans heading to Nashville in June for the CMT Music Awards and CMA Music Festival will have the chance to join chart-topping artist Rodney Atkins for his annual “Music City Gives Back” concert in downtown Nashville Tuesday, June 9. Now in its fifth year, the show will benefit Nashville’s W.O. Smith Music School and feature a star-studded lineup, including – in order of appearance – Maddie and Tae, Tyler Farr, platinum-selling artist Kip Moore and ACM and CMA award-winning artist Lee Brice. The concert kicks off with DJ Silver at 6 p.m. between 2nd and 3rd Avenue on Broadway and is free to the public.

“I’m grateful to be hosting this special event for the fifth year in a row alongside a stellar group of artists,” said Atkins. “It truly means a lot to be able to give back through what I love to do most – play music.”

Carl Black Chevrolet, Wrangler and ALLY Bank are returning for the fifth year as presenting sponsors for Music City Gives Back. America’s Morning Show host Blair Garner will return as host along with media partners NASH and NASH ICON.

A new opportunity for fans this year, select artists will sign autographs in the sponsor activation area on Broadway open Tuesday, June 9, from noon to 6 p.m.
