Operation Smile hosts its annual International Student Leadership Conference at a different university

or college, in various locations around the world, each year. The international medical charity is dedicated to helping improve the health and lives of children and has provided more than 220,000 free surgical procedures for children and young adults born with cleft lip, cleft palate or other facial deformities. Operation Smile trains doctors and local medical professionals in its partner countries and donates medical equipment, supplies and provides year-round medical treatment through its worldwide centers.

The 2015 five-day conference agenda boasted teambuilding activities, field games and service projects. Other motivational speakers and volunteers who participated alongside Ms. Quayle at Tuesday’s conference included Lizzie Velasquez (from the film “A Brave Heart”), the Kin Cayo Band and executives from I Am That Girl and the Roc Solid Foundations.

This is the second welcome invitation to appear at this moving event. As an active participant in the 7th Annual Dancing With The Carolina Stars (Greensboro, NC), Stephanie helped to raise more than $42,000 for the benefit of the Operation Smile Carolinas Chapter; she was presented with the “Smile Award.”
