Christmas 4 Kids: Bringing the Christmas Spirit to Children in Need

Christmas 4 Kids is a Non-Profit Organization that has given the joy of Christmas to thousands of Middle Tennessee children that might not otherwise experience it. For over twenty years, local businesses, volunteers, celebrities, recording artists, and their bus drivers have set aside two days in December from their busy schedules for these special children.

Following the Christmas 4 Kids benefit concert that took place on November 20th, the charity’s Tour Bus Show is coming up on December 11th. The event, which takes place from 5 to 9pm in Hendersonville, features buses from some of today’s top artists, whose drivers graciously open their doors. For a small donation, fans can have an intimate look into their favorite artist’s home-away-from-home. The star studded event will have 20-30 recording artists there to meet fans and sign autographs. Past artists have included Gretchen Wilson, Chris Young, Taylor Swift, Chris Stapleton, Wynonna and Naomi Judd, Trace Adkins, Trisha Yearwood, Darryl Worley, Jeff Bates, and Larry-The Cable Guy.

You can be confident your donations are going to a great cause, because the charity’s fundraising efforts for the year come together when buses pick up over 400 children and bring them to a Christmas Party held in their honor. Santa and Mrs. Claus host the party, which provides lunch (donated by Garth Brooks), live music, dancing and more. After the party, the children get back on the buses for a parade, led by the Nashville Trolley carrying Santa and Mrs. Claus, that stretches nearly five miles and features more than 70 Tour Buses, ending at Super Walmart in Hendersonville. Each child is met by his or her own chaperone, and they’re given $150.00 to buy anything they want. Additionally, Christmas 4 Kids gives every child a brand new winter coat.

Musician Charlie Daniels captured the spirit of the event, commenting “You think about making a kid smile when there is very little to smile about in their life. That’s what Christmas 4 Kids is all about.”

If you want to get involved in this great cause, head over the the Tour Bus show, volunteer to be a chaperone at the Christmas Party, or donate at christmas4kids.org. Your contribution can make a difference in a child’s life this holiday season.
