Trisha Yearwood to Perform at Save the Children Illumination Gala
Trisha Yearwood has announced that she will be performing at the 2nd Annual Save The Children Illumination Gala. The gala will be held at The Plaza in New York City on Nov. 19.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception and then be followed by dinner and the evening program at 8 p.m.
The gala is run by Save the Children, an organization that invests in bettering the futures of children around the world. By using their resources to give children a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and a safe environment to grow up in, the organization aims to improve not only the children’s futures, but also the entire world’s as a result.
The Illumination Gala is hosted by Jennifer Garner, an actor and Save the Children Board of Trustees member, and presented by Johnson & Johnson. The topic for the evening is “Early Childhood Education and Maternal, Newborn and Child Survival.
The Plaza, the location of the gala, is located at the corner of 58th Street and 5th Avenue in New York City. An RSVP is required for attendance, along with cocktail attire and a photo ID for admittance. Tickets can be purchased here, starting at $1,000 per person, and will be sold until Nov. 7.
