Jason Aldean Goes Pink

Country superstar, Jason Aldean, was recently named the More Than Pink Hero due to his longtime support and ongoing efforts to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research. Other names that have been named with this special honor is Barbara Bush and Betty Ford, former U.S. First Ladies.

Alden recently put on his special event, Concert for the Cure, at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on October 25th. It was part of the Grand Ole Opry’s annual “Opry Goes Pink”. Every ticket purchased that night, $5 was donated to Women Rock For The Cure.

According to www.tasteofcountry.com , Jason Aldean has given over $2.3 million the past 11 years with his Concert for the Cure event. He was very excited to bring the event to Nashville and to be a part of the Opry’s event.

Jason has a personal connection to the cause after watching his best friend’s wife fight the terrible disease. He says, “I was there. I watched it all go down. I watched him deal with her going through it and leaving behind two daughters. That to me was sort of an eye-opener. I have a wife. I have two daughters. I have a mother, stepmum, a sister… I mean, I have women in my life that are very important and to me. It’s something I would never want to see them go through.”
