Toby Keith To Be Honored At Symphony Ball

Country superstar and philanthropist Toby Keith has been named as the 2018 recipient of the Nashville Symphony's Harmony Award. The award is given to those who embody the "harmonious spirit of Nashville's musical community."

"Toby Keith has the unique ability to capture the essence of life's most passionate and memorable moments through music, as evidenced by an incredible career that has produced hit music every year over the past three decades," as per a press release from Symphony chairpeople Katie Crumbo and Laurie Seabury. While Keith has made an impact on the music world, he has also made many charitable contributions to the world around him.

Some of those contributions include numerous USO tours, performing for U.S. servicemen and women who have been deployed. The work he does through the Toby Keith Foundation and the OK Kids Korral is also something to be noted. Since 2014, Keith has been supporting pediatric cancer patients and their families by providing cost-free homes while the children are going through treatment.

Past recipients of the Harmony Award include Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, and others. It's safe to say Toby is in good company.

Keith will be honored with the award on December 8th 2018 at the Nashville Symphony's 34th Annual Symphony Ball.
